About Jewelry with Purpose®

Peace - Silver Bracelet - WhiteJewelry with Purpose® had its beginnings in 1995, when owner Atala Dorothy Toy left her job at the United Nations Development Programme, New York City to pursue her dream of providing attractive environmental protection jewelry for a city affected by expanding electro-magnetic pollution. Her first full day on job included the selection of one of her handcrafted necklaces into a juried show at the American Craft Museum; and a contract for the on-going sale of her jewelry to a high-end mail order catalog company.

Crystal Life StoreAtala spent the next ten years taking her Resonance® Jewelry with Purpose® on the road as she traveled the USA on the body mind spirit show circuit. She displayed her expanding line of products and lectured and wrote profusely on natural solutions for environmental stresses. Gradually, she shifted to working directly with nature to achieve healthy living environments, and her Jewelry with Purpose line expanded to include her unique Portal Pendants. During this time, Atala moved from New York to Illinois, settling in the peaceful Fox River Valley and opening her Crystal Life store in St Charles. In 2005 Crystal Life moved to Geneva.

Greenman from GenevaAtala also expanded her own personal offerings to include not only Jewelry with Purpose® but also three books on consciousness – We Are Not Alone: A Guidebook for Interdimensional Cooperation; Nature Spirits, Spirit Guides and Ghosts: How to Talk with and Photograph Beings of Other Realms; and Nature Spirits in American Trees, From Central Park to the Redwood Forests.  Many of her nature spirit photographs and cards are displayed at Crystal Life.
